Let’s find out about Aperol.

Aperol is an Italian liqueur that hasn’t changed since the Barbieri brothers created it back in 1919. Although the recipe is still a secret there are a few ingredients that are known such as gentian roots, rhubarb and cinchona. But except for its use in an Aperol Spritz, people rarely know much about the Italian herbal orange-flavoured liqueur. This vibrant orange liqueur gets its name from the Italian word Aperitif, Apero.

Aperol is a bittersweet Italian liqueur that is often confused with Campari but with a less pronounced flavour. In comparison, Aperol is lighter, brighter and less bitter. Aperol is a low ABV choice and is a perfect Italian aperitif. It is the main ingredient of some of the most popular spritz cocktails.
